Madison at Sturgeon Softball
Sturgeon’s Erin Mills got the win in the circle pitching the full seven innings while striking out eight batters and allowing one earned run in Sturgeon’s 11-3 win.
Lafayette County at Moberly
Moberly’s Clayton Briscoe had 7 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown. He also ran back a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown in the Spartans 21-14 loss to Lafayette County.
9/13 South Shelby at Macon
Macon quarterback Brent Klaas completed 15 of 16 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran the ball ten times for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Macon’s 49-28 win.
9/13 Marceline at Brookfield
Brookfield running back Trace Alexander had 40 carries on 170 yards and one touchdown. Alexander also had an interception to set-up his touchdown run.
9/12 Macon at Moberly Softball
Macon freshman pitcher Brooke Weimer pitched a complete game allowing just one earned run on six hits. She also struck out four and walked one in Macon’s 7-5 victory.
9/9 Westran at Cairo Softball
Westran’s Ireland Chapman pitched a complete game, struck out six, walked one, and went 1-2 at the plate with an RBI in a 10-4 road win at Cairo.
9/6 Knox County at Marceline
Marceline’s Cullen Bruner ran for 251 yards and 4 touchdowns in Marceline’s 50-16 victory. Bruner also booted a 40-yard field goal and was 4-5 on extra points.
9/6 Salisbury at Paris
Paris quarterback Clayton Langerud threw for 226 yards and three touchdown in Paris’ 28-6 win over Salisbury.
9/6 Moberly at Osage
Moberly’s Ethan Vandall intercepted two passes and returned one 80 yards for a touchdown. Vandall also rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown. He also made a 20-yard field goal and both extra point in Moberly’s 17-7 win.
9/5 Northwest/Sacred Heart at North Shelby
North Shelby’s Dayton Mettes rushed for 98 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also passing for 77 yards and a touchdown in an 84-2 victory over Northwest/Sacred Heart
8/30 Smith-Cotton at Moberly
Moberly’s Ethan Vandall scored 4 touchdowns (2 rushing and 2 receiving) and kicked all 5 Spartan extra points in a 35-28 Moberly victory.
8/30 Salisbury at Westran
Westran’s Kolby Dale rushed for 4 touchdowns and over 200 yards in a 40-15 win over Salisbury.
8/30 Monroe City at Centralia
Centralia’s Jake Freidel rushed for an unofficial 73 yards on 7 carries as his rushing touchdown represented the first of 35 unanswered points for Centralia in their 35-6 win. Freidel also made all five of his extra points and his booming punt late in the first quarter resulted in a fumble by Monroe City to set up Centralia’s first score.
