September 2023 Freeman Insurance Players of Game

9/29/23 Macon at Brookfield football: Brookfield senior quarterback Colton Parn had 15 carries for 104 yards, was 2-2 passing for 19 yards and two touchdowns and four receptions for 39 yards while also adding four sacks on defense in a 34-0 win over Macon.

9/29/23 Salisbury at Marceline football: Marceline junior quarterback Dax Thomas had four rushing touchdowns, a passing touchdown, and two interception run backs for touchdowns while racking up 294 total yards of offense in the Tigers’ 66-30 Homecoming win.

9/29/23 Moberly at Marshall football: Moberly Ka’Von Tiger had 18 carries for 102 yards and three touchdowns in Moberly’s 36-14 victory as they improved to 6-0 on the season.

9/28/23 South Shelby at North Shelby softball: North Shelby senior catcher Marissa McEwen went a perfect 4-4 at the plate with one RBI.  She also threw out two South Shelby runners attempting to steal as North went on to win 6-2.

9/25/23 Macon at Westran softball: Macon senior Ella Barnett went 3-5 with 4 RBIs to help lift the Tigerettes to an 11-6 victory over Westran.

9/22/23 Centralia at Monroe City football: Centralia senior quarterback Cullen Bennett completed his first eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown and added two rushing touchdowns on nine carries for 46 yards in Centralia’s 27-24 victory over Monroe City.

9/22/23 Moberly vs Fulton football: Moberly senior Nick Kessler starred on defense for the Spartans with two interceptions including an 80-yard runback for a touchdown as Moberly rolled to a 35-0 victory.

9/22/23 Knox County at North Shelby football: North Shelby junior quarterback Jade Daniel racked up six total touchdowns on 147 yards passing and 156 yards rushing as the Raiders routed Knox County 80-34.

9/21/23 Salisbury at Cairo softball: Cairo junior Addison Bailey went 3-4 with three RBIs including a two-run single in the sixth inning to help boost the Lady Cats to a 9-6 win over Salisbury.

9/19/23 Bevier at La Plata softball: La Plata senior Kierstin Wood pitched two shutout innings with three strikeouts and added a two-run single, a run scored and a stolen base in La Plata’s 17-2 win over Bevier.

9/15/23 Fayette at Westran football: Westran sophomore quarterback Gage Adler was 11-13 passing for 222 yards and threw five touchdowns to five different receivers.  He also added four carries for 25 yards and had an interception on defense as the Hornets cruised to a 49-0 Homecoming win over Fayette.

9/15/23 Monroe City at South Shelby football: South Shelby senior running back Kendal Hammond had eleven carries for 258 yards and four first half touchdowns as the Cardinals handled the Panthers 59-6.

9/15/23 Moberly at Kirksville football: Moberly sophomore running back Ka’Von Tiger had 19 carries for 117 yards and three second half touchdowns.  He also had 2 receptions for 37 yards in the Spartans’ 35-6 win over Kirksville.

9/8/23 Marceline at Harrisburg football: Harrisburg sophomore Caleb Sager ran the ball 29 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns and added three catches for 33 yards and a touchdown as the Bulldogs defeated Marceline 28-20 on Homecoming.

9/8/23 Moberly vs Winfield football: Moberly sophomore Kyler Fanning had both a 57-yard punt return and a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Spartans 44-19 victory.

9/8/23 Putnam County at Milan football: Milan senior running back Ahmet Niasse led the Wildcats with 22 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns and added a 31-yard touchdown run in Milan’s 36-6 win over Putnam County.

9/7/23 Macon at Moberly softball: Macon junior Keely Hicks went 4-4 with a two-run home run and four RBIs to help lift the Tigerettes to an 8-6 win over Moberly.

9/1/23 Marceline at Brookfield football: Brookfield senior Colton Parn had a punt return for a touchdown, a key interception on defense, and at quarterback went 8-14 passing for 53 yards and rushed the ball 23 times for 78 yards in the Bulldogs 14-0 Bell Game victory.

9/1/23 Moberly at Osage football: Moberly sophomore running back Ka’Von Tiger had 20 carries for 105 yards and a touchdown and added two catches for 64 yards and a touchdown as the Spartans won on the road 21-14.

9/1/23 Slater at Paris football: Paris senior quarterback Colton Kendrick racked-up 187 yards of total offense and three touchdowns and added a strip-and-score for a touchdown on defense as the Coyotes won their first-ever eight-man football game 56-12.
