Kenny Wyatt Announces His Retirement

Salisbury Head Boys Basketball Coach Kenny Wyatt announced Tuesday morning that he has retired. Wyatt just led the Panthers to a 3rd place finish at the Show-Me Showdown and earned his 6th KRES Coach of the Year award. That came on the heels of leading Salisbury to a state championship in 2023. He was named the MSHSAA Coach of the Year.

Wyatt thinks McFadden is right for the job.

Wyatt started coaching at Bucklin in 1984, and also had stops at Brunswick and Marceline. Wyatt’s all-time boys basketball record is 759 and 265. His record at Salisbury is 606-198. Wyatt says nothing is set, but the possibility of him being an assistant is still open.
