Two people were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County around 7:50 Monday morning. The State Highway Patrol says 33-year-old Tessie Gorham of Clarence was driving an SUV east on Route J west of Duncan’s Bridge when she ran off the left side of the roadway, hit a sign post and a bridge abutment and overturned. Two passengers in the vehicle, 26-year-old Benjamin Gorham and a 12-year-old boy suffered serious injuries. Benjamin Gorham was taken to by ambulance to Columbia and the 12-year-old boy was flown to Columbia. The vehicle’s driver and two other passengers, an 11-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl suffered minor injuries and sought their own treatment.
