Macon Offense Carries Tigers Past South Shelby

The Macon Tigers scored five runs in both the second and third innings on the way to a 12-2 win over the South Shelby Cardinals at Larry Bagby Field.

Both sides were tied at one after the opening inning. Macon took a 6-1 lead into the third inning. Sophomores Kace Holman and Hagan Ritter picked up where the Tigers left off.

Steven Findley Jr with the calls on Glory 97.3 and centralmoinfo.com. Ritter and senior Logan Hillard both drove in three runs. Holman had 2 RBI in the win. Coach Christian Thrasher.

Macon improves to 6-9. Ryder Lewis was walked four times in the leadoff spot for the Tigers, scoring two runs.

Isaac Wilcox drove in a run for South Shelby. Coach Jacob Rich liked how his team started the ballgame.

The Cardinals got ten runners aboard during the contest. Rich said his young team continues to prepare for the postseason.

South Shelby falls to 2-11.
