Two People Killed in Boone County Accident

Two people were killed in a two-vehicle accident that occurred around 7:20 this morning at the 5400 block of Route B in Columbia. The State Highway Patrol reports 48-year-old Douglas Brooks of Columbia was traveling north on Route B in the passing lane of southbound traffic when he collided head-on with 52-year-old Christine Kaisher of Hallsville. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
