Horse Rehab Project Leads Mullins To Second Proficiency Award

A project to keep horses alive landed Alexis Mullins of St James a second proficiency award at this year’s Missouri FFA Convention.  Mullins earned the award for equine sciences entrepreneurship.  She described her enterprise to Regional Radio.

Mullins’ training isn’t limited to the horses.  She’s also trained 50 youths over the past four years to ride the horses she’s rescued.

Alexis Mullins of St James credits her mother for instilling in her a passion for horses.  Mullins won the placement proficiency award last year in equine science.  She’ll also be part of the state officer team next year.
