Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash around 6:30 Thursday evening in Macon County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Jeep Cherokee, driven by 63-year-old Thomas Jenkins of Brookfield, was headed west on Highway 36 two miles west of Macon when it began to skid on the ice covered roadway. The vehicle then ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. Both Jenkins and the vehicle’s passenger, 61-year-old Kathryn Berry of Brookfield suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Columbia for treatment.
