Two People Hurt in Howard County Crash

Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon around 2 in Howard County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Mercury Mariner, driven by 31-year-old Jacob Hency of Fayette, was headed east on Highway 240 at Route P and was travelling too fast for the conditions when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned. Hency suffered moderate injuries. The vehicle’s passenger, 24-year-old Emily Thompson of Fayette, sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to Columbia for treatment.
