Three Girls Injured in Howard County UTV Accident

Three girls from Higbee were injured in a UTV accident in Howard County. The accident occurred just after 6pm Sunday on County Road 125. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Kawasaki UTV driven by a 10-year-old girl from Higbee was northbound on County Road 125 when she overcorrected, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. The driver suffered moderate injuries while her two passengers from Higbee, an 11-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and a 12-year-old girl suffered minor injuries. Both the 10-year-old and 11-year-old were transported to Columbia for treatment. The 12-year-old was sent to Moberly for treatment.
