Coronavirus testing is taking place this week at the Moberly Correctional Center. This is part of the mass testing that’s being done at all Missouri Department of Corrections facilities for all residents and staff. Mass testing helps identify and isolate asymptomatic cases, preventing the virus from spreading to other people living or working in the facility. Most cases found through this type of testing are asymptomatic. Testing at the prison began Monday, and so far they have not received any positive results. No offenders at MCC have tested positive for COVID at any time during the pandemic.
