Sumner Goose Festival This Weekend

The Sumner Goose Festival is this weekend. Organizer Lisa Stewart says this is the event’s 69th year.

A chili soup supper from 4 to 7 Friday night kicks things off. Stewart says there’s a change to opening night.

Saturday’s full day of activities includes a baby show at 11:30, gooseberry pie auction at 12:30, parade at 1:30 and cornhole tournament at 2. Guest appearances will be made by KC Wolf from 12 to 2, Kansas City Chiefs cheerleaders from 1 to 2:30 and Fredbird from 1 to 2.
