The switch wouldn’t be until the 2025-26 school year at the earliest. This comes as the Missouri Legislature considers bills that incentivize school districts to conduct five-day school weeks.
Senate Bill 784 would provide school districts and charter schools with additional funds to stay on a five-day week. Schools would only be able to use the funds for teacher salaries.
