Earlier this week the Randolph County Health Department released their weekly COVID-19 report. The latest numbers show 45 new cases of the virus over the past week and the county currently has 52 active cases. Randolph County Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand says the department is concerned by the recent increases in positive cases.

Whisenand adds vaccination numbers in the country are steadily going up in the county.

Whisenand is also hopeful the vaccine incentive program unveiled by Governor Mike Parson last week will help bring the vaccination numbers up as well. The Randolph County Health Department currently has Johnson & Johnson vaccine available and is working to secure orders for the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
