Norfolk Southern train service between Moberly and Kansas City, which has been suspended as a result of the Grand River Bridge outage in Brunswick, following structural damage from heavy rain and debris, is expected to be back in service Monday evening. That’s according to a statement from Norfolk Southern, on their web site. Norfolk Southern Engineering has been completing the final repairs and service across the bridge will be restored. railroad officials are evaluating all traffic and train plans and will adjust to accommodate the restored service throughout the day.

As service is restored, customers with traffic originating or terminating in the Kansas City area may see up to a 48- to 72-hour delay. They expect to return to normal operations by mid-week.
