Parson Touts Recent Trade Mission During Speech To Farm Bureau

Missouri Governor Mike Parson provided a recap of his recent trip to the Middle East and Europe during his speech to Missouri Farm Bureau members Monday.  Parson said foreign companies are recognizing the state for its business-friendly climate and skilled workforce.

In particular, Parson touted Missouri’s growing emphasis on vocational education programs and apprenticeships.  He also noted how farmers in Missouri are in a position to supply the changing demands of overseas consumers.

Governor Parson referenced Japan’s recent vote to amend their free trade agreement with the U.S., increasing the amount of beef they’ll import from American producers tariff-free.
