Paris Claims Top Chapter Honors, Two Proficiency Awards

Months after claiming the National Model of Excellence award, the Paris FFA chapter repeated the feat at the 94th Missouri FFA Convention in Columbia.  Paris was one of 36 chapters who picked up the gold emblem, recognizing their chapter activities over the past year, and ranked first among them.  Secretary Maggie Cummins says the chapter has stayed busy in recent months.

Cummins also earned the proficiency award in Swine Production Entrepreneurship.  She’s continuing to build on her project, four years removed from exhibiting the Grand Champion Barrow at the Missouri State Fair.

A second Paris FFA member, Makayla Hayes, earned the state proficiency award in Specialty Crop Production.

A list of all state proficiency award winners is below.  The Ashland and Troy FFA chapters are each celebrating four winners.
