Shelbina State Senator Cindy O’Laughlin’s Senate Committee on Education voted to pass a measure to create open enrollment with Missouri public schools last week. O’Laughlin discussed House Bill 1814 on Regional Radio.

Not all districts support the measure. O’Laughlin says the bill has specific measures to prevent schools from being overwhelmed.

O’Laughlin says there is also a $60 million fund to offset any cost differences associated with students changing schools.
