New Year’s Eve Fire East of Moberly

No one was injured, but significant damage was done to a home on Route YY, about two miles east of Moberly and just south of Highway 24 during a New Year’s Eve fire. Dave Gaines, the Chief of the Eastern Randolph County Fire Protection District says the initial call came in about 5pm.
Gaines describes how they attacked the fire.
The fire remains under investigation.
Crews cleared the scene about 10:30 Tuesday night, but were called back about 1:30 Wednesday morning as the fire had rekindled.
