National Association of Realtors Relief Fund Offering Storm Relief for Adair and Knox County Residents

On August 4th, severe storms spawned a tornado in Knox County and flooding in Adair County. While Missouri awaits a national disaster declaration, the National Association of Realtors Relief Fund has made 100-thousand dollars in funds available for storm victims across Knox, Adair, and Bollinger Counties. President of the Northeast Central Association of Realtors Erick Hanson explains how these funds became available.

There is a cap of one-thousand dollars per household across the three counties. Hanson explains how funds are divided up at the national level.

Previous instances of the Realtors Relief Fund being used in Missouri include the 2011 Joplin tornado and last year’s floods in St. Louis. Hanson says fund applications can be done online at missourirealtor.org

Adair and Knox County residents with further questions on the application process are encouraged to contact their local realtor.
