13 people died in traffic crashes during the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Labor Day Weekend counting period. The 13 fatalities is a increase of four from last year’s counting period which starts at 6pm Friday and runs until 11:59pm Monday. There were 274 traffic crashes which is down 10 from 2019; however, there was 124 injuries compared to the 118 last year. MSHP reported 145 DWI arrests, which is up 30 from 2019.

On the waterways, there were 15 boating crashes which is up five from last year. Six injuries were reported which is up by two from 2019. Seven BWI’s were made which is down three from 2019. There were no drownings on Missouri’s waterways for the second straight Labor Day Weekend counting period.
