Monroe County FSA Offering Emergency Conservation Cost-Share Funds

Cost-share programs are available for livestock producers in Monroe County who are concerned about maintaining adequate water supplies.  USDA’s Farm Service Agency Office in Paris has opened a cost-share assistance sign-up through the Emergency Conservation Program.  Sign up deadline is August 11th.  Other programs available include funds for water hauling as well as feed and hay transportation, and the Livestock Forage Program for grazing animals.  Producers in Monroe County can contact their local FSA office in Paris at (660) 327-4137 for more information.

Both programs will vary from county to county depending on the severity of drought and actions authorized by each county’s FSA committee.  Producers are encouraged to contact their local USDA Service Center to learn about the drought relief programs available in their county.
