The Moberly School District plans to provide traditional in-seat instruction beginning August 25, noting that plans could change quickly. Students will be encouraged to practice social distancing as much as possible, and some routines will be modified to provide multiple layers of safety such as temperature checks upon arrival, staggered schedules to lessen hallway/lunch traffic, use of masks will be recommended, there will be scheduled times for hand-washing throughout day, and additional sanitizing throughout the day in high traffic areas. The district received more than 11 hundred responses to an initial survey for parents and guardians, and results were released Saturday. Nearly 92 percent want school to go back to normal.
