McGaugh Sponsored Bill to be Heard in Committee This Week

Discussion began this week on House Bill 2140, sponsored by Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton. The bill deals with several provisions related to elections in Missouri. McGaugh says one deals with school board elections.

Under McGaugh’s bill, the filing period would be moved between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. McGaugh says another piece of the legislation would prevent harassment of county clerks and judges.

McGaugh previously served as Carroll County Clerk for more than 20 years. Her bill has been referred to the House Elections and Elected Officials Committee.
