Marceline City Council Enters into Cooperative Agreement with Parks Work

The City of Marceline is looking to rebuild the basketball court in South City Park. City Manager Richard Hoon says they’ve entered into a cooperative agreement with the non-profit organization Parks Work for the project.

Marceline had a similar arrangement with Parks Work for the construction of a skate park at Walt Disney Park. Plans for this project call for a new basketball court along with two pickleball courts. Hoon explains the planned layout.

Parks Work has set a fundraising goal of 40 thousand dollars. The group hopes to have the new basketball and pickleball courts ready by next summer.
