Madison Demolition Derby to be Held Saturday

The Madison Demolition Derby will be this Saturday at the Madison Activity Complex, sponsored by the Madison Area Business Association. Classes include Stock, Compact, and Gut and Go. Madison Area Business Association Vice President James Johnston explains the differences between the Stock and Compact classes.

Prize money for the derby totals more than $4,800.

Typically the derby attracts about 75 drivers to Madison. Organizers expect more than 100 participants this year from both the local area and neighboring states. While the demolition derby gets underway at 7 pm, Johnston says activities will actually get underway at around 6pm.
