Macon County Health Department Offers Various Vaccinations

Amid flu season and a rise in COVID-19 cases area residents are reminded that the Macon County Health Department offers a variety of vaccines. The department offers both the COVID-19 primary vaccine series and the bivalent booster. In addition to Moderna and Pfizer, the department also offers the Johnson & Johnson and Novavax shots. The Macon County Health Department offers COVID-19 clinics every Thursday by appointment.

They also continue to offer flu vaccines at their office. The vaccines are offered by appointment or on a walk-in basis. The standard vaccine is available for anyone six months and older. The department also offers the flu mist for those between the ages of two and 49 and the high-dose vaccine for anyone 65 and older.
