Josh Brummit Returning to North Shelby as New Superintendent

After 11 years away from the North Shelby School District, Josh Brummit is returning there to become the new North Shelby Superintendent. He says his past with the district played a big role in taking the job.

After spending four years as a teacher and coach at North Shelby, Brummit spent seven years as principal at Atlanta. He served the past four years as Brashear’s superintendent. Brummit says his time at Brashear was a learning experience.

Brummit is taking over for Tinna Croy at North Shelby. Current Brashear Principal Cody Moore will become that district’s new superintendent July 1st.
