House Passes Bill Renewing the Collection of Fees for Hazardous Material Handling

The Missouri House of Representatives has passed Representative Tim Taylor of Bunceton’s House Bill 1870, which extends the Missouri Emergency Response Commission’s ability to collect fees for the handling of hazardous materials in the state.

Fees are also collected for chemical emergency preparedness around the state.

The timeline for fee collection is six years. Taylor says the bill is in the Senate’s hands.

If the bill passes, the fee collection period would be extended to August 28th, 2030.
