Farmers Experience, Explore Latest Developments At Farm Progress Show

Displays, demonstrations, and debuts are lining the streets of Progress City USA, site of this year’s Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois.  More than 550 vendors are on the 90-acre site, showcasing their latest products and innovations to farmers from over 48 countries.  Among those farmers is Harrison County’s Richard Fordyce, the former Farm Service Agency administrator.

Fordyce details one of the newest products that caught his eye.

However, Fordyce admits he may wait a while before picking up one of his own, noting the continued development of newer technologies.

In addition to maintaining his rowcrop operation outside Bethany, former FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce currently works for an ad agency that focuses on agricultural brands.
