The Adair County SB40 Developmental Disability Board has announced the appointment of Crystal Aminirad as the next Executive Director. The former Director, Nancy Pennington, has accepted a new position as the Executive Director of the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services. Aminirad has worked as the Regional Accounting Manager for Sinclair Broadcasting and previously as the General Manager of KTVO for several years, and also served on the Board of Directors of Mark Twain Counseling Center, Rural Advocates for Independent Living and the Kirksville Chamber of Commerce, where she served as President of the Board for one term.

The Adair County SB40 Developmental Disabilities Board is a not-for-profit governmental organization providing services and support to local citizens with developmental disabilities. It is funded through a special property tax passed by Adair County voters in 2005, as approved through the Missouri State Senate Bill 40 in 1969.
