Crop Insurance Decision Looming

Farmers and landowners have another couple weeks to make important farm program decisions. A webinar set for Thursday morning at 11 that’s hosted by the University of Illinois aims to help farmers finalize their decisions about crop insurance and other Farm Bill programs. Ag economist Gary Schnitkey will detail the numbers and talk about his recommendations for crop insurance, including the Enhanced Coverage Option or E-C-O.

Schnitkey says E-C-O is not a game-changer for crop insurance, but that it will offer good risk protection.
