Columbia Man Arrested in Connection to Arson

A Columbia man was arrested in connection to a suspected arson in the parking lot of a motel in 20-hundred block of West Business Loop around 1:35 Friday morning. Columbia Police say when officers and firefighters arrived there, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Police arrested 40-year-old Leslie Lee Williams at a home in the 32-hundred block of Elm Grove Drive, and he had outstanding arrest warrants for 1st degree burglary, 3rd degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
