CMA New Artist Of The Year To Perform At Missouri State Fair August 11th

One of country music’s brightest new stars will make her way to Sedalia this August.  Missouri State Fair officials announced Monday morning that Lainey Wilson will headline the Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance on August 11th, with opening act Jackson Dean.

Wilson is the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year, as well as the Academy of Country Music’s New Female Artist of the Year and CMT’s 2022 Breakout Artist of the Year.  The longtime songwriter and native of northern Louisiana broke onto the country charts in 2020 when her number one hit “Things A Man Oughta Know” went platinum and earned 2021’s ACM Song of the Year.  Her most recent album Bell Bottom Country includes the single “Heart Like A Truck” which peaked at number four.

Tickets for Lainey Wilson and Jackson Dean will be $50 for grandstand seating and $60 for track seating, and will go on sale the morning of June 27th through the State Fair Box Office and ETix.  The 121st Missouri State Fair takes place August 10th through the 20th.
