Tuesday and Wednesday were the only days last week Missouri legislators worked due to the winter weather. Over those two days, Grain Belt Express dominated discussions. Representative Chuck Basye explains what Representative Jim Hansen’s eminent domain bill would do.

The bill was introduced last year after a effort was made to build a wind energy line from Kansas through Missouri and to the East Coast. The bill died in the Senate last year after it passed through the House. Basye says a similar bill is moving through the Senate, and explains what will need to be done to push the bill across the finish line.

The Public Service Commission approved the Grain Belt Express project last year.
