Westran Superintendent Mike Nagel has sent a letter to district parents indicating that a district employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The administration is working with the Randolph County Health Department and are following their recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of the Westran staff and students. The staff member was last at work on August 19. As a precaution those members of the community who may have been in close contact with the staff member during the week will be notified. Nagel says they have thoroughly cleaned the entire building and have taken great precautions to limit any spread of the virus.
