Wayland Man Faces Charges After Accident

A Wayland man suffered moderate injuries when his minibike hit a parked car along North Main Street in Wayland around 8:45 Saturday night. The State Highway Patrol says 43-year-old Shane McWilliams was ejected from the minibike. He was taken to Keokuk. He was booked for being an aggravated DWI offender, not having a valid license, and careless and imprudent driving. The State Highway Patrol had previously arrested him around 10:30 Friday night for being an aggravated DWI offender, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, not having a valid license, and failing to stop at a stop sign.
