Vogt Explains Welcome Home-A Community For Veterans

“Welcome Home-A Community For Veterans” is a regional resource located in Columbia, with a mission of keeping veterans off the streets. Fundraising and Development Supervisor Michelle Vogt explains how it started.

Welcome Home evolved beyond being a shelter, with the construction of a new center in 2017. Vogt says they now have a Vets Work program.

And a permanent housing program.

Welcome Home has served more than two thousand homeless and at-risk veterans and family members since moving into the new facility in the fall of 2017. If you would like to make a donation, Welcome Home is 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
