Vacated 45th District Representative Seat to be Decided in Special Election

Beginning in 2021, Missouri’s 45th District Representative seat will be vacated once Kip Kendrick begins his role as the Chief of Staff for Senator Greg Razer of Kansas City. Kendrick explains how his seat in the Missouri House of Representatives will be filled.

The Columbia Democrat had won reelection earlier this month after running unopposed. Kendrick would have begun his final two-year term in 2021. Both the Democratic and Republican parties have begun considering candidates to run for Kendrick’s seat.
