USB Highlights Ability For Processors, Consumers To Use The Whole Soybean

Soybean farmers attending the Farm Progress Show this week in Illinois are learning about the latest seed treatments and crop management products, all with the aim of ensuring that there’s plenty of their commodity to go around.  While some companies promote soybeans’ use in biodiesel, human nutrition, and animal feed, the United Soybean Board is stressing the ability for processors and consumers to make use of the entire bean.  Mac Marshall is USB’s vice president for market intelligence.

Marshall says that means pushing for increased demand of one byproduct would increase the supply of other components.
