Upper Iowa Football Anticipates First Season In Great Lakes Valley Conference

Serving as the Great Lakes Valley Conference’s 14th member, the Upper Iowa Peacocks enter a new era on the gridiron this season. Head coach Jason Hoskins.

The Peacocks finished 1-10 last season, having competed in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Hoskins says the team is eager to improve.

Upper Iowa runs a multi-spread offense that averaged around 13 points per game. Tight end Eddie Burgess hopes to elevate his play after catching three scores last season.

Junior defensive back Zacarius Murray leads a defense focused on playmaking.

Upper Iowa was voted seventh in the GLVC Preseason Poll. The Peacocks travel to Kirksville to face the Bulldogs Nov. 4.
