The United Way of Randolph County continues to look towards the future and one way that’s being achieved with the program ‘Room at the Inn’. The program intends to set up warming shelters for the winter and when temperatures get frigid. United Way Director Atina Roberts says some similar attempts by others have been made in the past.

Room at the Inn works with the city along with St. Vincent de Paul, the Randolph County Ministerial Alliance and Salvation Army. Trinity Methodist Church has already volunteered to open its doors as part of the program.

Meanwhile, Roberts says donations are still being taken for the COVID-19 fund.
