Two People Injured, One Seriously, In An Accident on Route 24 In Carroll County

Two people were injured in an accident on Highway 24 in Carroll County just east of Route 41. The State Highway Patrol reports around 4:10 Sunday afternoon, a motorcycle driven by 43-year old Richard Tietjens of Dewitt entered Route 24 in front of a vehicle driven by 77-year old Kenneth Milburn of Yuma, Arizona and the motorcycle was struck. Tietjens suffered serious injuries and was flown to Columbia. A passenger on the motorcycle, 37-year old Brandon Sizemore of Brunswick received moderate injuries and was flown to Kansas City.
