Turkey Hunters Reminded to Think Safety First in Final Week of Spring Season

Missouri’s Spring Turkey season ends May 8th. While there has only been one reported hunting accident so far, Knox County Conservation Agent Dustin Snead reminds hunters to take the necessary precautions during the final week.

Hunter orange is not required to be worn during turkey season, however Snead advises hunters to properly identify themselves.

Hours for turkey season end each day at 1 pm. Anyone who is out morel mushroom hunting is advised to wait until after that time in order for turkey hunters to clear out.
