Truman Womens Basketball After Belanger

Before the Truman State Women’s Basketball program starts it’s first season, after the departure of Hannah Belanger, the Bulldogs will play their former teammate and Iowa State in an exhibition game tomorrow night (Wed.). in Ames. Belanger tied the Bulldog school record for points in a season with 638 and set a new single season mark in three-pointers made with 99. That total led all Division II through the regular and postseason conference tournaments. The GLVC Player of the Year was fourth in Division II in three-point shooting (47.1%) and ninth overall in scoring at 21.3 points per game. Truman coach Theo Dean says Belanger’s steady scoring will be hard to replace….

Theo Dean and the Bulldogs will play Iowa State Wednesday night at 6:30. Truman will start the season with the GLVC/G-MAC Crossover Challenge in Quincy, on November 10-11th, with games against Ursaline and Cedarville.
