Truman Men’s Basketball Claims Major GLVC Awards

The regular season champion Truman State men’s basketball team claimed three of the major awards when the Great Lakes Valley All-Conference teams were released this morning (Tues). Junior Cade McKnight was named the GLVC Player of the Year, making it back-to-back Bulldogs, after Brodric Thomas claimed the award last year. Masen Miller earned Freshman of the Year honors, and Jeff Horner was voted the league’s Coach of the Year. Senior guard Turner Scott joined McKnight on the GLVC First Team and Dylan Peeters made the Second Team. Miller was also voted to the All-Defensive team.

The Truman men will host Indianapolis in a first round GLVC Tournament game tomorrow night (Wed.). You can hear the game on KRES.
