Truman Men to Battle Michigan Tech in Regional Final

Coming off a NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Semifinal win over Ashland, the Truman State Bulldogs will now set their sights on booking a spot in the Elite Eight when they faceoff with second seed Michigan Tech Sunday night. The Bulldogs shot 15-25 from three-point range in Sunday’s 82-63 win over Ashland. Truman coach Jeff Horner said it took a team effort for the Bulldogs to advance Sunday night.

The win against Ashland marked Truman’s first NCAA Tournament win since 1999. It also ran the team’s record to 19-2. The Bulldogs will now face the second-seeded Michigan Tech Huskies, who defeated regional host Southern Indiana 81-69 Sunday night. Michigan Tech also lost to Ashland in the GLIAC Conference Championship last week 85-77. The Huskies come in with an overall record of 15-7.
