Truman Long GLVC Trip Of The Season Starts At Lewis

Truman’s longest conference road trip of the season starts Thursday night in the Chicago suburbs where the Bulldogs will play the Lewis Flyers. The men swept games at Pershing Arena to improve to 7-2 at home this season. Their road record is almost reverse at 1-7. Coach Jeff Horner says it will take a better effort to win at Lewis and Indianapolis this week….

The Flyers are 5th and the Bulldogs are 7th in the latest Point Rating System rankings in the GLVC. Lewis is a game ahead of Truman in conference record at 7-5. The Flyers are 11-9, while the Bulldogs are 9-11.

The Lewis women were the preseason choice of the coaches to win the GLVC and beat Truman 72-68 in late November. The Flyers are 11-3 in conference play, in a tie with Drury, and a half game behind McKendree. In the PRS, Lewis is ranked 3rd. Bulldog coach Theo Dean knows the challenge Thursday night….

Lewis is 12-8, while the Bulldogs are 5-15. We will not have a broadcast of Thursday night’s Truman at Lewis doubleheader. Our next broadcast will be Saturday from Indianapolis.
