Truman Hosts The Preseason Ranked Peacocks For The Home Opener

A pair of NCAA Tournament teams will meet in the home opener at Pershing Arena when Truman State hosts 22nd ranked Upper Iowa Wednesday night. The host Bulldogs lost three D-1 transfers off their D2 Tournament team and split games with Cedarville and Findlay, Ohio at the GLVC/GMAC Crossover Challenger over the weekend. Horner’s Bulldogs got blitzed at Upper Iowa last year 103-77. The Peacocks went on to a 26-6 record and won a game in the NCAA Tournament. They are led by Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Southern Division Preseason Player of the Year, Jake Hilmer, who averaged 16 points per game and led the team in assists.
