Truman Homestand Starts With Jewell

The Truman basketball teams play three games in five days at Pershing Arena starting with William Jewell Thursday night. On the men’s side, the Cardinals program is on the upswing. They upset top seed Southwest Baptist in the GLVC Tournament last year to get to 15 wins for the first time in four years. This season, Jewell is 4-3 in the conference and 7-8 overall. Bulldog coach Jeff Horner is impressed with their backcourt….

Horner’s team is 1-5 in the league and 6-8 overall.

The Truman women are tied for second place in the GLVC one game behind second ranked Drury. The Bulldogs go for their 10th win of the season against a Jewell squad that is 4-13 and 2-5 in the conference.
